The Land of No Return Story

 Synan is in his back yard looking at the stars. He then sees
a comet-like object fall into the earth's atmosphere. The
rock dosen't finish its entry, but instead stops in the clouds.
Synan dosen't pay too much attention to it. The next morning,
Synan gets up and goes downstairs. After eating breakfast,
his mother asks him to go to town to shop for her.
"But mom, I have to go and check out that comet! It didn't
ever come down yet.", Synan complains.
 "You can look at it on the way there. Now go, Synan, or
you're grounded!"
 "But it didn't come down!"
 "It probably did, you weren't out there long enough."
 Synan leaves the house and heads for the city. As he walks,
he looks at the sky. The comet is still there. "Weird", he
thought.
 Synan arrives in the city and enters the first shop. As he
enters, he sees a shady old man standing behind a counter.
 "Synan, let me show you my new invention, kid!"
 "What is it, a new TV?"
 "Not even close. Synan, come back here for a second,"
The old man leads Synan into the back room. The man reaches
in his pocket and pulls out a red tinted marble. "Watch...",
the man says after a short pause. The old man throws the
marble at a mouse in the corner. The mouse disappears. He
silently throws the marble again, and the mouse comes back.
"Pretty cool, huh? Here's ten. Your mom will love these!".
 Synan takes the marbles and puts them into his pocket.
As he leaves the store, he hears a crowd screaming ahead.
They're acting like they've seen a ghost. Synan goes ahead
to check it out. As he leaves the town a short monkey-like
critter comes to him. As he looks down at it, it looks up
at him. Frightened, Synan kicks it right it the eye.
It screams loudly as it runs away. A monster about his size
walks to him.
 "I am Ico!", the monster says, "You have been sentenced by
my master, Wizeman, to The Land of No Return!"
 Synan tries to fight the monster, but as he starts, he
is surrounded in a shadow. He looks up, only to see that
enourmous rock hovering above him. He begins to float to
the sky, as Ico watches.
 He awakes on purple ground. He stands and sees two small
square structures and fences surrounding him. They're
guard towers. Complete with a little guard.
 The guard speaks. "You have been out a long time.
At least three days. Welcome to The Land of No Return,
Synan!"
 "How do you know my name?"
 "Wizeman told me. You must give me any mirrors and
throwable objects. Why? Becuase they aren't allowed
here! Now give me those marbles you recieved. Yes,
all ten of them."
 "Uhh, here you go."
 As the guard examines the glass spheres, he says
quietly, "Oh, these are the Ideyas from our island!
Thats what Wizeman uses to transfer the monsters here."
The guard keeps the ideya marbles and opens the gate.
As Synan enters, the guard warns "Never look back,
kid. A monster will follow you, never look back."
He begins to repeat himself as Synan enters.
 The gates close behind Synan. Synan hears a monster
following him. He sees another human, followed by a little
brown monster holding a purple eyeball. The human looks
back, and the monster's eye spins as the human turns into
a horrific little monster. Synan could not see the monster
clearly enough to describe it, but it was round and red.
Synan observes the island. A large volcano with a flame-
red door stands before him. To the left is a garden
full of that little monkey from earth. To the right
is a castle with flame-red roofs on each tower.
Synan goes left toward the garden.
 Synan enters the garden and a monkey stops him.
 "I am Monk! And you are not allowed here! We
don't know anything about a blue key, so
leave now!", the Monk screams.
 Synan follows directions and goes on ahead.
He comes to a dark blue cave thing sticking out of
the back of the volcano. On the cave is a light blue
door. A short round creature stands there. The
creature is about one foot tall, and is red with a 
silver horn and a belt of eyes. Its legs are like little
spikes.
 "I am Prisem. Or, thats what you can call me if you get
the Ice Key!", the Prisem screams, "Those terrible Monks
took it! Ohhh, the nerve of those things. Will you get
it? I'll hurt you badly if you refuse!"
 "Why should I? What can you do?"
 "A lot! I was once Wizeman's assistant! Very tough!"
 Synan heads back for the garden, realising what the
Monk said about the 'blue key'. When he arrives, the
Monk is still there. "Prisem told me you guys stole
the Ice Key from them. Is that true?"
 "No, I tell ya, no! This key is BLUE, it is not
ice!"
 "Well, can you give me it anyway?"
 "Not without a fight. Believe me, I'll win!"
 Synan prepares for battle. He remembers the Monk from
earth, and kicks this baby to the sky. The Monk drops
the key. "Ha! That was way, way too easy!", Synan
cheers.
 Synan heads back to Crystal Cave. When he arrives, the
Prisem immediately jumps up to grab the key. Prisem
succeeds and puts the key in the hole in the ice door,
opening it. Synan and Prisem enter.
 "Those are Crystals! They help little Prisems like
me evolve to Emerald. Thanks, kid! I like you. Maybe
someday we will meet again, when I'm in a stronger form.
I'll make this up to you someday. I lied, I'm wasn't
working for Wizeman. Really! Here, kid. This red key
I stole from Mr.I at Emerald's Crater. It has a warm
touch, and I believe it brings good luck. Please
take it, Synan."
 Synan takes the red key. Its touch is warm, like
Prisem said. Synan ventures on and finds a blue egg.
He decides to call it the "Ice Egg". Something is
moving inside. A glow comes from the ceiling. 
Ico is hovering there.
 "So, if it isn't little Synan! Wizeman thinks you
are becoming a neusance, kid! Its now my job to
take care of it. I couldn't help but overhear a
disobeying Prisem, insulting Wizeman."
Ico takes Prisem. "I will return for you later,
Synan! You can TRY to hide untill then, ha ha!"
 Synan rushes for the exit to the cave and around
to the volcano. He sees a lot of flying monsters
hovering around the top. Synan places the key into
the Fire Door and enters. It is very dark inside,
and like a maze. After a long time, Synan finds
his way past the maze and arrives in a small village.
There are many of those flying things around.
 "We are called Mr.I! We had this little
un-named monster here, we call him Clawz.
However, he foresaw your arrival. He wanted to go with
you, Synan. Will you take him?", Mr.I says.
 "Clawz? Does he evolve like Prisem?"
 "No, Clawz dosen't evolve."
 "Oh. I would've taken him anyway. Come on, Clawz!"
Clawz joins Synan's side. Synan and Clawz go deeper
into the volcano, to a place that is hotter than
the rest. There are millions of combinations
of Prisem and Crystal here.
 "We are the ones called Emerald.", one says.
 Synan's ice egg hatches, and something that looks
like Ico comes out. Synan decides to call him
Jr.Ico. After he names him, a human-like voice
comes from the Mr.I city.
 "Who goes there? Are you the one they call Synan?
I'm James, and I'm here to destroy you, Synan!"
 "Destroy me? Show yourself!"
 A human-like person walks into the crater.
He has a helmet with a diamond on it. His head
is quite small underneath. His eyes are
stretched along the bottom of the helmet. His
body, other than that, is normal, except for
his shirt. Its white, but has a red 'W' shape,
but more stretched, like '\/\/'. "I shall destory you!",
he yells again.
 Synan and James start battling. Clawz decides to help.
Jr.Ico joins him. James soon loses, and leaves.
Synan, Clawz, and Jr.Ico leave the volcano with help
from Mr.I. Outside, the guardhouse is empty. Clawz sneaks
in and gets the ten ideyas back. Synan absorbs Jr.Ico in one.
Synan circles the island, catching Monk, Prisem, and Mr.I.
When he reaches the castle, Synan sees the drawbridge open.
An odd floating eyeball with four smaller ones with spikes
sticking out on four sides comes out.
 "Synan? I'm Spyke, and you won't get in the castle, kid.
so make like a tree, and 'leaf'", Spyke says.
 Synan waits untill Spyke leaves and enters the castle before
the bridge goes up. In the courtyard, Synan sees walls,
with red-roofed towers in each of the four corners, and a
larger tower in the center. He enters the larger tower and
climbs a large set of stairs. When he reaches the top, he
sees what is obviously Wizeman. Wizeman is a mix of all
the monsters except Clawz and Ico. His main head is
like a Monk's head upside down with Mr.I's horn and
wings. Under the head is an upside Prisem, with the
lightning beam of Emerald connecting to Crystal. Around
the waist of lightning are Spyke's four eyeballs, orbiting
like a belt. Suddenly, Ico flies into the window of
Wizeman's Tower.
 "Wizeman, I'm back.", Ico says.
 Wizeman seems to want a fight. Clawz starts attacking, but
gets knocked out, and Jr.Ico is too weak to fight yet.
 Ico prepares an energy ball. Synan thinks its for him,
but then Ico launches it toward Wizeman. Wizeman falls into
pieces in the corner. Wizeman had a purple colored stone with
a black star-shape within. The stone falls off Wizeman's head
and to the floor. Ico places it on his head, and a golden glow
forms around him. The glow becomes a flame.
 Synan sends out Clawz and Jr.Ico. All the other monsters on
the island sense the power and come to help. After a short
while all the monsters are here. Monk, Prisem, Crystal,
Emerald, Mr.I, Twilite, Spyke, even James. Some monsters that
Synan hasn't seen come from the volcano. A little duck-like
monster comes. This monster has a long beak, a diamond shape
on its forehead, and the rest of its body looks mostly like
a small duck. Monk tells you its name is Skyber. A glass ball
thing with a yellow energy ball in its center. Its a monster
called Orb. A tadpole looking monster, Octa, and its evolved
form, an octopus monster called Octo. Everyone begins battling.
After about a few hours, Synan notices that there is no earth!
Its gone, and the moon is losing its orbit. Orb gets an electric
field around it and launces a beam of lightning at Mega Ico as
Monk, Prisem, and Emerald use punches and kicks. Mr.I prepares
an energy ball and aims it at Mega Ico. James knows he's too
weak and stays out of the fight. Synan runs toward the volcano.
As he looks back, he cannot really see much of the battle through
all the lightning, fire, explosions, laser beams, and flying corpses.
 When Synan is a good distance from the battle, he begins to plan
an idea of how to win. He figures that if Ico used Wizeman's dark
stone to become Mega Ico, then Synan could do the same! Synan heads
to Crystal Cave. The sparks of the battle can be seen over the
volcano from where Synan stands, in front of Crystal Cave.
 Synan enters the cave and questions the Crystals,
"Are there any purple stones around here?", Synan asks.
 "Purple? Yeah, right here! Its a dark stone, so be careful!",
the Crystal answers.
 As Synan takes the stone, he realises that there is no black
star in this one. He puts the stone on his right arm, and
soon gets the same energy field around him as Mega Ico.
He flies out of the cave and back to the battle.
 When he arrives, he immediately starts attacking Mega Ico.
The battle seems perfectly equal, nobody winning or losing,
so he would need help. But who could Synan trust to have
mega-monster power? Monk, Prisem, Mr.I, Twilite, and Spyke
are all punks, so he could'nt trust them. Orb, Skyber, Octa,
and Octo he didn't know. Then he looked at James. James would
be perfect, Synan thought.
 Synan flew down to James as Mega Ico started fighting monsters
again. "James. If you trust me, we can beat Ico!", Synan explains,
"We have to work together as Mega-Monsters, okay?"
 "Uhh......well..sure, I guess", James replies.
 Synan touches James' head, giving him mega-monster power.
 James soon powers up like a super-saian from DBZ. They both
begin attacking Mega Ico. Soon enough, Mega Ico is defeated.
Ico keeps the power, but the stone fell to the ground, shattering.
The black star shape rises from the stone and begins turning into
a human-like form. The top point becomes a head with evil, red eyes,
the left and right points become arms with long, sharp claws,
the bottom points become feet. A tail comes from the back.
 Ico gets freaked out really fast. "Master Veronica! Please
forgive me!", Ico screams fearfully.
 Veronica readies an energy ball and blasts Ico unconsious. Veronica
pulls a marble out of its virus-like body. It appears to be an
ideya marble. Veronica throws it to the moon, and the earth reforms.
Veronica says, "Monsters! I have many more forms of you hidden up
my sleeve. You must go and inhabit the earth! Only then will we have
room!". Veronica captures every monster in ideya marbles and chucks
them at earth. Only a few, maybe three or four of each stay.
Wizeman was one of them.
 Synan got some of those ideyas before they were thrown and puts
all his monsters in them. Veronica captures Synan and James after
they power down. Before launching them, she says, "We may battle
another time, Synan and James. Untill then, good luck!"
Veronica launches them to earth. As soon as their ideyas hit, Synan
and James go to Synan's house. Synan's mom is really happy he's back.
They throw a party for Synan's return, and all Synan's monsters and
James are there.
