  1. # Kirsle.net
  2. ![Kirsle](https://raw.githubusercontent.com/kirsle/kirsle.net/master/www/solar/kirsle.png)
  3. This is the source code of my personal website, [Kirsle.net][1]. It runs on
  4. top of my Go blog application, [kirsle/blog][2].
  5. This Git repo only contains templates and design files for the main Kirsle.net
  6. website. This means only the files that are served directly by the Go CMS
  7. (all pages with the "solar" web design) are here; but there are a decently
  8. large number of static files and one-off CGI scripts that get served directly
  9. by nginx instead. For example the `projects/` folder where I keep downloads of
  10. my various software projects, and the `creativity/` and `wizards/` folders.
  11. So, feel free to look around in this repo, but you won't find anything too
  12. interesting in here. It's mostly just Go HTML templates, Markdown pages, and the
  13. odd web design file (CSS, JS, and some images).
  14. For the version of Kirsle.net that ran on my Python CMS, [Rophako][3], check
  15. out the `rophako` branch of this repo.
  16. ## Dev Environment Quick Start
  17. ```bash
  18. # Make sure you have a Go environment set up. Quickly:
  19. export GOPATH="${HOME}/go"
  20. export PATH="${PATH}:${GOPATH}/bin"
  21. # Install my Go blog
  22. go get github.com/kirsle/blog/...
  23. # Run it on the kirsle.net www folder.
  24. blog ./www
  25. ```
